I was born in a Nepali family in northern Burma so that automatically made me bilingual as a kid. There was a lot of Bollywood film influence there and most Hindi movies were shown. I can still watch and understand a Hindi movie. When I was 18, I went to Thailand in search of a better life, and learned to speak Thai and English. I can still have a good conversation with a Thai person without giving them anything away that I wasn’t a native speaker. As for my English, you can see it for yourself here and this isn’t my best effort. I guess that sets me apart from the crowd. My hobbies are many but lately I found myself spending a lot of time in the garden and reading about plants, so that is my newest hobby which just grew on me. I like going to parks and botanical gardens, of course. I read a lot of fiction so I can also be found wondering around the bargain section of a bookstore, or better yet, a library. Movies and music go without saying. There’s more to tell in due time.
